ADULTS: Embodied Prayer & Moving Meditations: Dancing with the Divine

Our worship dance ministry meets as a small group throughout the school year on Tuesday nights from 7:30-8:45pm in the Upper Chapel at Ashland University.

Come explore how to engage your entire self (mind, body, spirit) as we pray to God our Father, Christ our Savior, and the Holy Spirit our Guide.
Using simple movement and dance, we will explore scripture and prayer. We will pray together and for one another. We will spend time in reflection through journaling. If you are a person who is physically active and/or can’t seem to sit still in church, you will find freedom in this group as we explore together through our bodies (as a part of our being) and as a body (of believers). Later in the semester, we will work together to create a piece to be performed at 5 Stones Community Church and the Well.

Bring your Bible, a journal and a friend.

This is an open group (you can come and go anytime). It is attended by both men and women.
This group is for the believer who is looking to go deeper in his or her faith in a new and creative way.
This small group is an extension of the Alabaster Worship Arts Ministry of Religious Life.

Children’s Worship Dance classes at the Kroc Center 

Hip Hop Praise Dance (8 wks) -- Ages 7 +
Tuesdays: Feb 1 – Mar 22, 3:30-4:30 pm
Member: FREE/Non-member $2 per class
Register by 1/25/11
Learn fun, upbeat, energy-packed hip hop style praise dances used to worship the Lord in any setting. Limit 20 students.

Sacred Dance (8 wks)
Wednesdays: Feb 2 – Mar 23
Ages 13+ .... 3:00-4:00pm
Ages 6-12 ....4:00-4:45pm
Member: FREE/Non-member $2 per class
Register by 1/26/11
Learn basic sacred dance techniques, combinations, and lyrical movements that express our love for Jesus Christ.
